I have never seen them not show the pitch from the person to the plate — this was a first and would bet with lack of applause he threw it into the dirt with his pitching style. Fox Sports baseball announcers SUCK.

Yep. I just checked the DVR and the catcher set up in front of the plate, the camera moved off of the catcher as the ball neared the plate and FOX did not show the catcher catching ball. Guess I’ll have to look in tomorrow morning’s post to see if the ball bounced.

The initial shot has the catcher on screen at the lower right hand corner. As the ball nears the plate, the camera moves left just enough to have the catcher not shown.
It was pathetically calculated and intentional.
It must have looked really odd in 4:3 aspect ratio.

I don’t like zer0 any more than the rest of us here but soem of the boooos were probably due to him wearing a White Sox jacket. The rest were well deserved. And no, I’m not taking up for zer0. Just an observation.

That’s because they didn’t show where his pitch landed. I am better it was in the dirt and very short the way he threw the ball.
Just wait until he gets in the booth with the Fox announcers to help with announcing. Without the teleprompter, he will never get it right.
