How should a couple of older folks prepare (66 & 65).

Go for the vaccination and look for a resurgence of this organism next fall/winter. A few mutations could increase the virulence and the contagiousness of this virus. Environmental conditions change when cold weather hits thereby allowing a more ready spread of the virus.
