RUTH Madoff had a rough time at California Pizza Kitchen the other night. Slinking into the East Side eatery with a young female friend, she ordered a salad and white wine, but quickly got flustered.
"The waiter said she was upset because she had coupons and they expired before she could use them," a witness told us, adding that several diners told the waiters they shouldn't serve her.
One bit of good news for Ruth, though -- she'd just learned her Ponzi-schemer hubby, Bernie Madoff, will be locked away in upstate Otisville, the prison his lawyer had requested. "I'm so glad! It's just what we wanted," she gushed to her dining companion. On her way out, one female diner shouted "Goodnight, Ruth!" The frosty-blond Madoff ignored her, but her dining partner cringed.

Ruthie dear, it is time to move...
Madoff will have it easier than those people he ripped off ...
She lives in NYC and goes to a California Pizza Kitchen? Trail Rider Pizza ( a converted singlewide) next to Molly’s Bar in Tijeras, NM makes better pizza.
You could drop me in Manhattan and I could find better pizza.
True. Heck, Andrea Mitchell is allowed on-air, and look at what her husband did for us.
As far as I know she hasn’t been charged with anything, so this is kind of sad really.

They are all I can get since there isn't a franchise in Huffman, TX.
I agree. A good number of the people invested with her husband did so because of the unbelievable rate of return compared to the rest of the market. And, if it’s unbelievable...
I don’t know about the store bought ones, but the CPK I went to in LaJolla California sucked. Overpriced, pretentious, crap.
The frozen ones are about six bucks.
I like thin crust and they do it about the best I’ve found.
They could use more meat and cheese, though. And make ‘em bigger.
Other than that....
She certainly was in a position to know about the Ponzi scheme, and it’s extremely unlikely that she wasn’t actively involved in it. It’s definite that she didn’t care if her unlimited budget was being obtained illegally. At best, she believed what a lot of the more sophisticated investors believed — that Bernie was getting his inexplicably consistent good results by illegally front-running, using information from the brokerage side of his business. Please don’t waste any sympathy on her.
So losing money, due partly to your own lack of sense, is worse than going to prison for the rest of your life?
No, what I’m saying is that he will have it easier in prison than those he ripped off ... the people he ripped off have no retirement .... they may wind up living in a tent ... as for the rest of his life, he doesn’t have that much time left ....
