Joe Jackson wants to teach his grandkids the ABCs of showbiz.
The notoriously hard-driving stage dad said he sees star power in Michael Jackson's two youngest children.
"I keep watching Paris. She maybe wants to do something," Joe Jackson, 80, said on Friday in an interview with "Good Morning America."
"And Blanket, he can really dance."
The comments by Jackson's father - who said Thursday he suspects foul play in his son's untimely death - came as British tabloid The Sun reported today that Jackson had lethal levels of painkiller Demerol and heroin substitute methadone in his body when he died, as well as high levels of anti-anxiety drug Xanax.
The paper said preliminary toxicology findings submitted to the Los Angeles county coroner's office reveal the drug cocktail.
Jackson's father had a famously rocky relationship with the King of Pop - who took great pains to shelter his own kids, Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7. Michael Jackson's doctor Arnold Klein - whose former medical assistant, Debbie Rowe, is the mother of the two older kids - is concerned about Joe Jackson's influence. "I worry about the Jackson family [getting custody] only because I worry slightly about the father, from what Michael told me about that father," Klein told CNN's "Larry King Live.
A Monday hearing on Katherine Jackson's temporary custody of Michael's kids was postponed to July 20, sparking speculation a settlement with Rowe was in the works.
"[The delay will] allow us to privately and amicably resolve this most important matter in a dignified manner for the benefit of the children first and all involved," Jackson family lawyer Londell McMillan said.
Actually, it seems they are all home schooled and very bright... Jackson was weird, but the kids had a good nanny. Someone said he always had classical music playing in the home and tried to give them a stable home... I think the worst thing in their lives would be for Joe Jackson to get hold of these kids.
and you know the kids are screwed up??? how!!!! Everything I’ve seen and read says just the opposite. He kept his father away from those kids when he was alive because of the horrible upbringing his father foisted on all the Jackson kids, but Michael in particular.
The Family needs to keep Joe Jackson away from Michael’s children . . . period. That man has no compassion except for his own pocketbook.
Well, I guess it's time to start beating them then.
The dude is 80 years old! Why does he want to start exploiting these poor kids? God help them.
Good grief. Keep him away from those poor kids.
No doubt. It's not legally possible, of course, but the best thing would be to find some simple folk on a New Zealand sheep farm to take them in, put them to work, and home school them. They have a surreal life behind them, and ahead of them; which is quite sad.

I saw this coming a mile away. Prince must have been too old to be “trained”, so Grandpappy Joe is going to train Paris and the younger boy to jump though hoop and honk the horns with their noses.

Unfortunately the media is obsessed with this garbage. On quite a few interviews it comes out the children aren't really “home schooled” after all. MJ’s idea of “education” was reserving a toy store around 2am or 3am in the morning and allow the kiddies to pick out all the toys they wanted. They'd play with them for a day or two and then get rid of them because of MJ’s obsession with being “sterile”. I don't call tha normal.
Of course where the burkas the kids had to wear. You may think that is NORMAL but I don't. Neither do I find NJ in a woman's burka NORMAL but then again you might think that's find for a “dad” to wear.
Of course the children LOVE him. He was as childish and DUMB as they are at this tender age. Of course you may find all this NORMAL, but I don't. Guess this household doesn't share your Obama family values.
I understand that one of Jermaine Jackson’s kids is named Jermajesty.

If all the children being raised in a “dysfunctional family” were taken away from them and raised by “NORMAL” ones, there would be few children raised in the homes of their nativity. Plus you’d have some mighty big fights over what constituted “Normal.”
