Omaha Hands Over Unused Fireworks & Ammunition

Throughout the metro and in Council Bluffs, dozens dispose of unused fireworks and ammunition on Saturday.
There were drop offs locations at Seymour Smith Park at 72nd and Harrison, Old Skate Land, Dave's Auto Body off Blair High Road and in Council Bluffs on 28th and Broadway.
Fireworks and ammunition fill partially fill buckets, a mall sample of what was collected.
"I dropped off some .22 ammunition and some shot gun ammo I don't use anymore." Fletcher Peters couldn't wait to unload his van. “In my case, I don't use that ammunition anymore, I just have it sitting around the house and I wanted to get it out of there, so did my wife," he says.

They are supposed to sit there, until you need them. Better hope you don’t need them, because now you don’t have them, and you will find that it is very hard to get them, because other, smarter people bought them all up so that they could sit there until they were needed...

This is a great idea.....all you need is a bucket and some people idiotic enough to give up their ammo! I never thought they existed until reading this.
.45 ACP and .380 is preferred, thank you all.

This is obviously a trial run for O’s ultimate wet dream: The voluntary surrender of all firearms and ammo to the Feds. It does not say who was sponsoring the “collection drive”. I’m sure some Feds were there as “observers”.
