Jackson death may have been 'homicide', says police chief

MIchael Jackson is reported to have been taking a cocktail of drugs James Bone in New York

The Los Angeles police chief has raised the prospect of a homicide charge over the death of Michael Jackson.

Homicide does not necessarily mean murder — it could mean a manslaughter charge against a doctor.

Jackson, 50, died last month in mysterious circumstances but is reported to have been taking a cocktail of drugs including the potent anaesthetic Diprivan, also known as propofol.

Los Angeles police are investigating Jackson’s prescription drug history and have subpoenaed medical records from doctors who treated him, including psychiatric records.

“We are still awaiting corroboration from the coroner’s office as to cause of death. That is going to be very dependent on the toxicology reports that are due to come back,” William Bratton, the city’s police commissioner, told the broadcaster CNN.

“And based on those, we will have an idea of what it is we are dealing with. Are we dealing with a homicide? Or are we dealing with accidental overdose?

Kjo, how did the revrend Al reply to the caller? Something worth looking into? Or get off my phone, you doofus?

*Sigh*. I miss the good old days when GW was responsible for every unfavorable event anywhere in the world. Now Sarah is and I am having trouble adjusting.

FEMALE CALLER (31:50): He (Michael Jackson) is truly the soundtrack of my life. I also have a theory about Sarah Palin as well and I’m going to put it out there on radio, hopefully someone can investigate.

But, I think maybe she did something to Michael Jackson. Maybe there’s a scandal there. Maybe she’s stepping down because something’s about to come out. I don’t know, but I’m gonna just put it out there on your show so we’ll see.

SHARPTON: All right, thank you for your call, Ashley. That’s interesting. I’ll put it out, we’ll see. I don’t know.

Maybe, but the worst addicts doctor shop and don't tell the other doctors what other drugs they are already taking. From what I understand, Rush's addiction was related to back pain or something physical, not something due to a messed-up head like MJ. Head cases are much harder to cure because so many don't want to be cured, just enabled.

Ultimately, there is more money to be made by enabling than curing if the patient happens to have the resources.

would rush have stopped if he wasn’t caught? I thank God he was actually caught or we might not have Rush Limbaugh alive today.

Now the MSM can kick the story back into high gear.

Of course... the Pelosi-got-busted-lying thing has started to heat back up again. Media cover required.

Yep. What a miracle...Jackson didn’t die because of being a drug addict
although he had track marks everywhere.

Well he was too skinny.
He must have doctor-shopped.
He was a drug addict.
He was a public figure.

But but that’s okay. He’s special.
He’s the black kid who wanted so badly
to be white he kills himself with painkillers.

I scouted out the Coachella Valley Cemetery over in Indio on Thursday while placing florals on the parents' graves......we can check that one off; he ain't there.

The biggest celebs we have out here are Frank Capra and Jacqueline Cochran (she of female aviation pioneer fame).

You may be right. But Rush was caught because he was targeted. I think the establishment saw it as a way to discredit him.

Meanwhile, far worst addiction problems go on in the world of entertainment and they get a pass because it is part of the culture of libtard tolerance.

MJ was just another case of the libtard drug culture devouring one of their own; tragic for MJ but the price to be paid for libtard indulgence.

to be fair i don’t recall michael really getting involved with politics...he was friends with reagan, did a concert for Clinton and might have considered a climate change song before he died...he was more a humanitarian than into politics in my opinion...

I don't know MJ's politics either. He came into the entertainment world as a bright, talented young man with the best of intentions. I think it is tragic that his years in the entertainment world transformed him into the self-indulgent character that died young.

It wasn't always this way. In my father's generation, the celebrity world produced people like Ted Williams, Jimmy Stewart and Ronald Reagan who loved their country and were among the first to volunteer to serve when America was threatened.

Now, those type of people are ridiculed by the Hollyweird glitterati. MJ's untimely passing was a result of that culture.

i’m 25 myself so i guess i’m part of this new selfish internet culture and i don’t know why it changed. I find myself listening to old music and liking the 50’s culture heck even the 80’s were more patriotic...you had cartoons like gi joes and wrestlers like hulk hogan who would tell you to eat your vitamins and say your prayers and wore a cross in the ring waving the american flag...

Sharpton’s position was to tell the caller “thanks for calling” and he quickly moved on.

Even Al knows a loser when he hears/sees one.

Good observations. FWIW, I find myself enjoying music from the 1940’s, the decade before I was born.
