How are you faring these days?
don’t they have fresh corn in the grocery store up there? it was 12 for $2 for the 4th of july here, and it was quite good, contrary to my dad’s theory that any corn from a grocery store couldn’t be good. this was REALLY good. i also enjoy shucking it right there in the store, they provide bins for the husks etc. that way i have no mess in my house.
Wegmans will have fresh corn worth buying......I am headed there today.
I meant at a roadside stand......or farmer’s market...usually they have signs and I haven’t noticed any yet.
All is well.....the pool temperature is still down due to the rain and cool nights. Other than that things are going well. Layoffs are due on Tuesday I hear......ask me next week.
My sister had a cat namend Betise once. It kept the mooses away. The cat died and a few day later a moose...
She meant real corn. Locally grown. They have increased the sugar content in the breeds in order to make old corn somewhat palatable, but it does not compare to the real thing.
well those of us poor deprived people who live too far from the provinces for the “real” corn, this tastes just fine. i will trade fresh corn for a life worth living... ; )
i knew that’s what you meant, but i figure that grocery store corn beats frozen.
You telling me that there are no Virginia farmers who venture into your town to peddle their wares?

Joe Biden promises administration aid after coup in Betise.
with that foot in his mouth it’s no wonder he can’t shut it...
A+
Very good
I’m on my way out the door to SA to get groceries for the week and go to the beauty supply-
I wonder what betise Obama
Will make while with the Pope?
Will it be insignificant
Or will he be a total dope?
Either way it seems a shame
The Pope must greet him-
I can’t see the Holy Father
Really wanting to meet him
When the niceties are over
And the dialog is done unfolding
I hope that in a private word
The pope gives Obama a scolding
Back shortly...
A++
wonder what MO will wear?
I am headed to the grocery store in a few minutes myself....I am HUNGRY...dangerous time to go food shopping. LOL
oh i am sure down at the EARTHWATCHING falls church farmers market, some birkenstock wearer would sell me some for $5 a dozen+. not worth it to me.
we have normal farmers here......and Wegmans buys from the local guys so I can get fresh picked there as well.
Who doesn’t love the bus? We were subject to a 90 minute memorial service last night, during prime time and they pre-empted The Office to show it. I did call and complain. Even a rerun would’ve been better than the service for the stupid guy. A betise on the programming manager, that’s for sure.
