don’t they have fresh corn in the grocery store up there? it was 12 for $2 for the 4th of july here, and it was quite good, contrary to my dad’s theory that any corn from a grocery store couldn’t be good. this was REALLY good. i also enjoy shucking it right there in the store, they provide bins for the husks etc. that way i have no mess in my house.

She meant real corn. Locally grown. They have increased the sugar content in the breeds in order to make old corn somewhat palatable, but it does not compare to the real thing.

I’m on my way out the door to SA to get groceries for the week and go to the beauty supply-

I wonder what betise Obama
Will make while with the Pope?
Will it be insignificant
Or will he be a total dope?

Either way it seems a shame
The Pope must greet him-
I can’t see the Holy Father
Really wanting to meet him

When the niceties are over
And the dialog is done unfolding
I hope that in a private word
The pope gives Obama a scolding

Back shortly...

Who doesn’t love the bus? We were subject to a 90 minute memorial service last night, during prime time and they pre-empted The Office to show it. I did call and complain. Even a rerun would’ve been better than the service for the stupid guy. A betise on the programming manager, that’s for sure.
