Telegraph Journal: A senior New Brunswick Roman Catholic priest is demanding the Prime Minister's Office explain what happened to the sacramental communion wafer Stephen Harper was given at Rom

It’s worse than scandal it is blasphemy.
If I’m not mistaken, the consecrated host plays a role in some satanic rituals.

What a dope
Maybe he’s on a no-carb diet??? Always thought “wafers” were weird anyway.....real bread is better!!!
Eh, well, it depends. In some cases, some belief systems, if you’re not in the right mindset, with your heart in the right place, you shouldn’t take communion.
Without hearing it directly from him we shouldn’t make assumptions or claim blasphemy.
Late night cabinet meeting snack maybe.
That is tantamount to flushing the you-know-what down the you-know-what.
Of course, the Canadian PM would only lose his face over this...not his head.
As I thought about this a little more it occurred to me that some of the blame here has to go to the priest. These events are always a mixed group of Catholic and non-Catholic attendees. The priest should have offered instructions for non-Catholics. I know this is fairly routine at Catholic weddings.

He had no business receiving Communion in the Catholic Church (and I'm a Harper fan.)
That’s what I was thinking. Is Harper a participant in Black Masses?
Is Harper Catholic?
If Harper isn’t Catholic he should have remained seated in a pew during this part of the service.
He didn’t even receive it correctly. He just put out one hand and took it from the priest as though he was taking a business card. The priest shouldn’t have even given it to him that way.
See my post # 13.
Maybe he wanted to take it home and stick a pin in it to see if blood came out.
In view of the fact that God limited the intelligence of man, it seems unfair that he did not also limit his stupidity.-KA
Don’t know much about Harper.
If I give him the benefit of the doubt, I could say that he understands that he should not participate in the Eucharist, in which case he gets points for being reverent.
If he’s not Catholic maybe he didn’t wish to offend Catholics by falsly participating in the Eucharist?
Pocketing the sacrament was probably a bad call? What could he do at that point? Give it back to the priest. He loses points for not understanding the protocols prior to the Mass.
The guy is the PM of Canada for heaven’s sake, not the mayor of Moose Jaw!
Now, if this were Obama,...
