Head-in-the-clouds bump!

Clear here in Seattle now, waiting for the 10:47 transit or the 00:22

Just flew over Central California, 10:46. Beautiful! It’s supposed to be even brighter Tuesday night, about 9:35. I may video the thang.

UPDATE:

10:47 PM transit complete!

SPECTACULAR VIEW here south of Seattle. When I very first went out, I didn’t see anything, it was a bit cloudy in the WSW. Then, I viewed a dull, star like object just a couple degrees above the horizon.

It soon moved above the thin clouds into a crystal clear part of the sky. Tried to see if I could see any detail with my 8X50 binoculars, but it was just moving too fast for me to get a good focus, so I just eyeballed it. A bit brighter than Venus at it’s brightest.

Took less than a minute and a half for it to get to the highest point (38 degrees this time), then it kept moving east bound, and got lost in the Doug firs over there.

For any FReepers who like the space stuff, I highly recommend seeing if you can catch it. Also might be worth waking up the rug rats if conditions are good and you know for sure you know what you’re looking for!
