Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi has solved the problem of not having a First Lady by his side for this week’s G8 Summit – a former topless model turned minister will look after the spouses of world leaders.
Dark-haired former calendar girl Mara Carfagna, – now Italy’s Equal Opportunities Minister – will guide the partners of the prime ministers and presidents at the conference.
The idea might put a smile on the face of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s husband Joachim Sauer, who is the only man among the spouses of the leaders attending the summit, which begins on Wednesday.
Berlusconi, 72, has been hit by a series of sleaze scandals in recent months. In May, his wife Veronica Lario, 52, announced she was divorcing him, saying she had had enough of her husband ‘frequenting minors’ after he attended the 18th birthday party of wannabe model Noemi Letizia, giving her a £5,000 gold and diamond necklace.

As a newer member of FR, am I missing some kind of inside joke when people frequently post either "Not Guilty" or "Innocent" after pictures of nubile young things?
Guilty/Not Guilty (Guilty. Not Guilty. and misspelled guiTLy) - dedicated juvenile FReepers require pictures of female criminals (especially the saucy school teachers) in order to determine their guilt or innocence.
“Not guilty” started out as a term used to identify female statutory rapists with an attractive appearance (ie as a hormone raging teen, one may have considered it their “lucky day”). It has evolved into a term for any attractive female. The misspelling “Guitly” (or guiTLy) is used as another term for “ugly” (attractive perps are “not guiTLY”), and allows posters to describe the accused but not pronounce any type of legal judgement on them.
