In my life I’ve been afraid of something a number of times. I’ve personally felt fear, and seen fear in others. I’ve never seen so much fear though as I see in the Leftists of Sarah Palin.

Whereas it's pretty difficult for a canidate for political office to win a defamation case, we have to remember that Barry Goldwater won against Ralph Ginzburg, the publisher of Eros back when he was just the publisher of Fact.
Ralph later died of multiple myeloma, a disease commonly afflicting lieing liars and propagandistic pamphleteers. Barry got $75,000 for his troubles.
I would imagine the WarshPost has more than that, and the New York Times continues to own some of the floors in the Times building. She'll need a nifty headquarters with access to the "media".

I've been wondering if this sort of thing, might have been part of the motive. A private citizen has much more ability to use the courts to fight this sort of thing.
