Tell us about it and please, the more pics the better.
OK folks, lets make a full day of it!!!Happy 4th of July!!!
Here is the flag flying today, I took it yesterday, the 3rd
the pic is actually sideways
My sister and her boys are coming over for inside-out bacon cheeseburgers (burgers with the cheese inside instead of out) with homemade Russian dressing and bunkhouse potatoes (potatoes baked in butter and bacon, then smothered in cheese). Then we’re going to blow stuff up!
Oh, we are definitely going to blow stuff up later in the day!
Good morning, early-rising FRiend! Happy Independence Day, and many more!
It’s just light here, and I’m going to take my baby for a push around the block, wishing the dedicated exercisers in my neighborhood a happy 4th.
Tea Party day for my wife and I...first over to Sherman, TX and then on down to Southfork ranch for the Dallas party where they are expecting 50,000 people.
You and your family have a wonderful Independence day!
The Southfork Ranch? Give Bobby and JR my best. And if Sue Ellen is still around tell her I still love her!!
Big Green Egg is already lit......fresh lump charcoal, applwood and hickory chunks going on next, then a 7 pound boston butt (prepped last night with a good rub mixed with olive oil).
90 minutes per pound at 250 (once the butt is on the BGE, just walk away, it will do the rest with out further attention from me, the chef)......so around 1630 today, voila, beautiful pulled pork will be ready.
Pulled pork, you must either be north of the Mason Dixon line in the midwest or from the Carolinas.
And will be missing y'all. Have a great time!
Don’t worry, I am sure there will be plenty of pics and I heard Achmed was so outraged of us demonstrating our freedom that he might just show up and protest our little gathering!
Mount Pleasant, SC......10 minutes from Charleston.
I'm gonna drive about two miles down the road to Eastforker's and scarf up his outstanding chow.
Then engage in a bit of artillery practice.
Just got done boiling the eggs for the tator salad, sitting on ice to peel easy, next the potatos.
Happy 4th of July! We will have 40+ here for our annual festivities. After a ceremony at the flag pole, we will chow down on hamburgers, hot dogs, smoked sausages, roasted corn with chili/lime butter, potato salad, and beans. There will also be homemade ice cream made with fresh Texas peaches. To top it off we have a pie contest with about 12 entries. And we will also blow stuff up too. :)
W00t! Yer up early!
Got BBQ in the smoker?
With or without the grit? Is the sand still blowing?
