will your neighbors be jealous of your sward, will they ooooh and ahhhhh over it now??? ; ) my husband has pumped untold $ into a part of our sward, to no apparent avail, that it's ridic. we just had an estimate done for some landscaping which will turn that part of the sward into a dry riverbed type look.

I miss that look in the NE - we can’t do that here with the small rocks because St. Augustine grass grows toward things, not straight up. It has little “runners” and the tiny rocks make it very hard to use a weed-eater to keep the lawn manicured. We tend to use larger rocks or paving stones that won’t go flying if the trimmer hits them.

I have to admit, your sward is prettier than mine if that is a photo of it. If I am lucky I will achieve undulating waves of green grass uncorrupted by weeds as the wind caresses my sward.
