In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Sward
Noun
1. Land covered with grassy turf.
2. A lawn or meadow.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

yeah.........Rush did lots of talking during the last election and we are worse off.....talking isn’t helping.
Rush sat out the GOP primary, until it was about too late.
I have to ask. How many handguns/rifles are you up to now?
Not many. About one for every 2 years I’ve been alive.
oh, he spent the primary season advising us to vote in the dem primaries to retire hillary.....he played a hand.....just not picking anyone on the republican side.
I still believe we could have beat hillary even with the loser mccain heading the ticket.
Operation chaos, while it did not decide the primaries, did keep Hillary in the game longer than she otherwise would have been. Rush never encouraged anyone to vote for Obama.
Even the View ladies talked of it.
my bad. you are right.
What adorable...and extremely gifted...little girls!
Thank you so much for the link.
As to the weather, over the weekend we went from 20 degrees above normal to 10 degrees below normal in the span of 48 hours.
It’s enough to make one very cranky. ;o)
Even 10 degrees below normal would be sweltering for Houston... sorry you had drastic changes though.
