I’ve been researching Obama’s background since March 2008. This is my usual practice for all presidential candidates and nothing unique to this particular general election. McCain was easy; sources for Obama kept being proscribed or scrubbed. But they forgot to scrub info pertaining to his mother.

Much of what I’m relating here is information gathered by shoe leather - old fashioned research and disseminated on the internet between fellow researchers. There are people gathering information for books which hopefully will come out before 2010.

It is public record that a close friend of Stanley Anne’s related in an interview with the Chicago Tribune that the new mother brought her son and visited the friend on Whidbey Island, Washington, in late August 1961. That is evidence that the two were in the Puget Sound area during Obama’s birth month.

Just a thought; check DMV records in Ha.and Il. most states require a BC to get a Drivers License. Also check Mom's passport for entery to the U.S.A. in 1961.
