Question. I have FF3.0 and when I try to send a link, it goes to Outlook express, and is declined. How do I get around that?

I have it on my launch bar and even after downgrading to 3.01, it wont launch another window if one is already open.

Cntl “N” works though.

When I tried that, it went to MS Outlook which is my office email client. With a little bit of research, I changed it to Mozilla Thunderbird which is my personal email client. Here’s how:

Tools-Options-Applications-mailto and select your preferred email client. Itf it is not listed (as Thunderbird was not for me), I went to “use other,” then “browse” then to:
“C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe” and clicked it and saved. Now when I go to a link it opens the correct email client.

I use the add-on "BBCodeXtra" so I can easily switch between HTML and BB coding used in other sites I visit.

might have check that out. I use xinha here!, but they are always slow to upgrade.

How does that add-on compare to the built-in “History->Recently Closed Tabs” (which is how I reopen a tab I accidentally closed)?

Try out BBCodeXtra; its companion add-on by a different programmer is BBCode. I have both, but BBCodeXtra is the one I use day-to-day. The menus on both are dropdown on right-click making for easy use of italics, bold, images, URL's, etc. They also do quotes, lists, fonts, and other HTML with further drop-downs.

After downloading the NewTabURL 1.6.1 add-on I’m totally digging FF 3.5.

I've read some of the comments saying the same but it works perfect for me. I don't know if it matters or not but I was running a previous version of FF (maybe 3.0.11).

A FFox question - I've done the last 2 FFox updates and a problem seems to have come up that is still with me on the 3.5 upgrade.
Every time I open my FFox browser and the page loads, I continue to get the "Thank you for upgrading" page" on both the FFox browser and the 'Colorful Tabs' pages. It also opens my normal home page. So I get 3 pages opening - FFox 3.5 upgrade thank you, my normal homepage and colorful tabs thank you for upgrading page.

Any idea how I can stop this from happening?

I don’t have 3.5 loaded yet and won’t until I have time to play with it. However, from my experience with 3.0 check to see if you have more than one version of FF 3.5 running. Do a Ctrl-Alt-Del and check. Shut them all down and try again. If that doesn’t work, check options to make sure there isn’t a splash page option checked that will always show these. If that doesn’t work, go to the Mozilla forums for help.

The "Undo Closed Tab" add-on is more efficient. You just right-click anywhere on the screen and choose "Undo Last Closed Tab" and BAM! it's back.
