New Firefox Browser is out with some really good enhancements. View Features and Download at the link above.
Thanks. I just did an auto-update and there it was.
Unfortunately, my favorite add-on, “Undo Closed Tab” is not compatible with FF 3.5, but I’m sure it will be soon, or that a developer will make something similar for it.
Is NoScript written for it yet?
Actually, the “Undo Closed Tab” add-on IS available for 3.5. I was wrong.
NoScript 1.9.3.3 works fine with it.
Also, I went to the author's web site for Tab Mix Plus and installed the dev build, which seems to work fine.
Apparently. I updated a couple days ago, and NoScript and AdBlock were among the things it didn't gripe about not being compatible with should I choose to upgrade. Couple themes and a download automator, and there was even a compatible upgrade for one of the themes already. There's a version compatibility flag in the addons, and sometimes the addons are perfectly compatible with the new version and the developer just hasn't had a chance to update the flag yet (or hasn't finished evaluating compatibility).
I was unaware of the function (Undo Closed Tab), it is awesome. It will save me many headaches. Thanks. :)
You’re welcome. If you ever accidentally close a tab, just right-click anywhere on the screen and choose “Undo Last Closed Tab” and then you’re all set.
Furthermore, this add-on should keep every closed tab during a particular session in its memory, meaning that you can keep right-clicking and restoring each one, one at a time, in just a matter of seconds, if you have to.
how do you tell what version you currently are running?
I have it on my notebook/vista
Click that. It'll tell you what version you have.
I just tried 3.5 and downgraded. I was having all sorts of problems with freezes and stuttering, even in safe mode. I downgraded to 3.0.11 and all is fine again.
I have been using Firefox 3.5 beta for several months, and like it very much. Had all kinds of problems with 3.0 crashing and moving to the 3.5 beta seemed to fix that.
Have been using Firefox since it’s first release, and still think it is the best browser for Windows. And I have used a lot of others on my Linux boxes.
thanks.. I have 3.0.11
I thought I had recently upgraded it but guess not
Or how about NoDU? ;-)
I’ve finally converted to the dark-side of FireFox!
I’ve used Thunderbird for years and loved it but FireFox always lacked something to me that I liked in IE 7. I still had to use various flavors of FF at work but never could warm up to it. I really don’t care for IE 8 and decided to check out FF 3.5 after finding this thread.
After downloading the NewTabURL 1.6.1 add-on I’m totally digging FF 3.5. I love the private browsing and to be able to customize on how far back to clear you history/browsing information. It’s also very fast and very snappy. I haven’t encountered any erroneous lockups etc. I think I’m hooked based on my initial reaction.
So along IE 7 & 8, except for XP updates!
If you are having problems, send them a bug report. Or you can search their knowledge base or log onto one of their forums:

On the other hand, I used Firefox 2 until they stopped issuing security updates and then switched to 3.0. Haven't had a problem with it. Will probably wait a month or so for 3.5 until they get the remaining "bugs" worked out.
Firefox is the best for enjoying sites like FR as you have some many easy options to make your posts more readable, post images, add links (like the one above), etc. I use the add-on "BBCodeXtra" so I can easily switch between HTML and BB coding used in other sites I visit.
