My theory on weight: when the end times come, those with a few extra fat cells are going to last longer...... all those skinny minnies who have felt so superior are going to be dropping like flies....
LMAO, i love that theory!!!
They bug me -
i am pleasant to all, i tell them we are devout and there is no chance of us changing our minds. i wish them luck and tell them i admire them for what they do.
That theory works for the TV show “Survivor.” Not sure about real life, but Dom Deluise did outlive Jim Fixx.
did i tell you i have a random PUMPKIN plant growing right next to my front sidewalk 2 feet from the front steps? i did not plant it. clearly it’s a product of a deceased halloween pumpkin, a part of which was being carted off by a squirrel or chipmunk, where a seed somehow got lodged there and lived to sprout this spring. i had NO idea what the deal was, we mainly go in and out of the house via the garage, but the lawn guys left it, must have recognized it. i went out to see what this huge thing was and saw blossoms and recognized it as a pumpkin plant. we will see if i get a halloween pumpkin out of this thing or not.
Catholic doctrines discussed include apostolic succession; baptism as a sacrament bestowing grace (as opposed to a merely symbolic ordinance); confession; holidays and holy days, such as Christmas, Easter, and St. Valentines Day; the use of images; Marian doctrines; the Mass; and purgatory. These alone constitute more than a tenth of the book andcoupled with the fact that the book attempts in a number of cases to specifically refute Catholic doctrinegive an indication that the Witnesses see the Catholic Church as a main target.
To be fair, they feel the same way about Protestant Churches
2 John 1:1-11I'm not rude to them, but neither do I bid them any blessings in their endeavors.
1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; 2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. 3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
come dinner it’ll be salmon or chicken... not sure which...
I’ve been meaning to pick up that book. Have to now.
Thats on my lay on the beach in August reading list.
The current Cap and Tax bill goaded me into getting Crichton's State of Fear to read now..

Is that the one about Global Warming? If it is I read it a couple years ago. Good book.
As for Liberal Fascism, it’s kind of surprising that Jonah can write a serious book. Good for him.
Pluck all the blossoms, but one.
does that make for the biggest pumpkin? but what if an animal eats it?
i know all about jehovah’s witnesses, used to work with some, have done my share of arguing with them. at this point i just want to pleasantly move people along from my door and will do it as expeditiously as possible. haven’t had any JWs at the door. i prefer the Mormons, who have always been pleasant and respectful, to the pub school kids begging for cash for their band/chorus and the inner city youts selling fake mag subscriptions to keep them off drugs. they [mormons] ask for nothing but my time, i give them a pleasant 2 minutes and they are on their way.
That’s what they say. Concentrates all the plantal energy into one fruit.
If an animal threatens it, send your attacks dogs after it.
the attack dogs do guard against the creatures in the yard. except when they are sleeping. i had an uppity squirrel up on his hind legs digging in my flower pot on the back deck, thumb his dang nose at me when i banged on the window for him to get out. and only ambled off the deck when i opened the french door and screamed at him to get out of my flowers.
