Ya gotta wonder about pit bull owners. They’ve sure gotta have a lot of insurance (at least I hope).

Oh..., and by the way. A house that my cousin has, she was getting another company for the insurance, and one of the things that the agent said, right off the bat is *no pit bulls* or you’re not getting insurance... LOL...

Even insurance companies know better... :-)

I've heard the same thing. To get homeowners or renters insurance you are asked about dogs in the house. It's my understanding they don't just ask about pit bulls. Dobermans, sheppards, and rots were also mentioned.

We did rescue for Rottweilers....usually got two at a time and worked to get them placed in good homes. We decided to reevaluate our homeowners insurance (not dog related).

None of the primary insurance companies would insure us because of the Rot’s, we just stayed (stuck)with our existing company.

BTW, their questioning regarding dogs centered around Pit Bulls, Rot’s and Dob’s. German Shepherds were not mentioned.

Please, half the time you see a pit bull story, they are not pure bred pit bulls. Pit Bulls themselves are not vicious. Its the breeders, its the owners. I have had pit bulls and would not hesitate to get another. You have to find the right breeder, not some hillbilly on the side of the road.

Are you kidding? I hope so. Pit Bulls are no more dangerous than any other breed of dog. Its breeders, and bloodlines established by breeders. Half the stories about pit bulls are not pit bulls to begin with, they are mixed breed dogs. I have owned and will again own pit bulls. I take in rescues and foster dogs of all breeds and mixes.
