This is where its going to get intersting. I’m working overnight tonight. I will look at dozens of brain CT ordered by ER docs and nurse practioners for really, really, really minor trauma. Not surprisingly 99.9% of them will show no significant traumatic abnormality. Can we afford this practice? No way we can stop. If you don’t order them all and miss the 0.1% you’ll get sued for all your worth.

Since you two are in the biz, and of course you have some extra time!, can you give us old regular patients some insight as to the better way to attack this health care issue.
