The 55 Chevy I drove in high school in 64 & 65 was yellow with black roof. It’s engine was good for 55 mph top speed, but it got my father to work and me to school every day.

The same thing as a “necker’s knob” I assume.

A necker’s knob is a knob that clamps on to the steering wheel. You hold on to the knob with your left hand to steer and wrap your right arm around your date.

They are illegal because they enable you to turn the steering wheel so quickly that you can flip the car more easily.

The old engines ran on leaded gas. Do you use an additive for the unleaded gas that is used today?

Always wanted one of these babies - 1968 Cougar - in blue ... years ago there was one which a neighbor had and was finally put up "For Sale" on the window, but I was poor at the time and couldn't afford it .. still, I drooled every time that I saw it ... and then went home to count my change-jar ... still wasn't enough, oh well :(

I had a ‘67 XR7 in college(1975). Paid $750.00 for it.Bucket seats, console automatic, 289 V-8 engine. Even had a CB radio!

It had the sequential tailights and vacuum operated headlamp covers—you know—the kind that went clunk, CLUNK!

Married in ‘76 and had to sell it in ‘77 for money to pay the doc for son #1.
