Just the other day, I was trying to get my kids to eat. I tried all the usual nonsense about starving children in Africa and staying healthy. Who should come to the rescue but Weird Al Yankovic on You Tube. His adaptation of Michael Jackson's hit song "Beat It" did the job. Thank you Michael Jackson for the tune. Thank you Weird Al for the words.
And don’t forget the other (related?) Weird Al/MJ parody
I’M FAT (I’m Bad):
When I sit around the house
I really sit around the house
RIP Michael Jackson, and may Weird Al live to be 150!

She also thought it was "dirty deeds, I like cheese", but that's another thread.
They sure do.
I knew the video was out there and chose not to watch. I had to explain to the kids what “duck and cover” drills were. They still don’t get it. Back in the 70’s, Conroe, TX would test their Civil defense siren every Friday at noon. You could feel the chills on your back real fast. Glad those days are over and our kids don’t have to go though that fun.
People are forgetting the nuclear impact of the advent of MTV. In my opinion, Weird Al would have languished on Dr. Demento if not for MTV. If not Michael Jackson, it would have been somebody else. MTV was built for the likes of Weird Al. But, if you stop and think about it, even "Thriller" would not have been the sensation it was, if not for MTV.
