Last rites have been administered to ailing U.S. actress Farrah Fawcett, said a posting on what describes itself as "the official blog for Farrah Fawcett."
The 62-year-old "Charlie's Angels" and "The Burning Bed" actress has been battling cancer for about three years.
"Farrah is holding on and has been given last rites," said a Wednesday posting on Hitman PR's blog, which carries a heading that describes it as the "official blog for Farrah Fawcett... and Greg Lott, Farrah's business partner and friend, written by Allen S. Miller, publicist, Hitman Public Relations."

I read that Ryan O’Neill wanted to marry her after all these years. If he really valued her, he should have done it before.

"Farrah is in intensive care and is supported by Catholic priests, consistent with her faith," the Web site said. "It is time now to make contact with your God and say a prayer." TMZ said Wednesday night Fawcett is "reportedly close to death" and her family members are gathering to say their final goodbyes. Prayers for Farrah and her family.

Actually, from what I have read, he has asked her for YEARS to marry him and she always said No. He asked again recently and she finally said Yes. And now she’s near death.

Farrah was a big part of our culture when I was a kid and she will be missed.

It may be her fault. I don’t know. She had married Lee Majors so she must not have been against marriage. But then, who knows. Hollywood types have all different kinds of reasons for not marrying.

You're not wrong. But what if she didn't want to marry him?
In any case, better late than never.

this is so sad. i just heard that ryan o neal asked her to marry him at the end of her life—is that still going to happen? the Church doesn’t usually give the last rites until you are pretty close to going to be with the Lord.

Prayers for Ms. Fawcett. Seems to be a new trend of hearing blow by blow accounts of celebrities medical demise. (Fawcett, Swayze) Used to be that you just read their obituary i.e. I just don’t get it.
