ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The crowd for Tuesday night's Isotopes game could be a record one and those fortunate enough to have tickets are already getting into the ball park.
Fan Kyle Morrow made sure he didn't miss his chance.
"I came in at 9 o'clock this morning, because I live baseball and I love Manny Ramirez" Morrow said.
Morrow was one of thousands in a standing room only crowd who will pack into Isotopes Stadium for a glance at Manny Ramirez," said Morrow. "He gave this little kid an autograph and that was it, just one autograph."
To match the crowd, Albuquerque police are sending along additional officers to go along with stadium security for Tuesday's game. They even sent an officer to watch over ticket sales in the afternoon, making sure everything stayed in order.
Morrow already endured the day's weather, but he and everyone else will have to endure expected traffic and parking jams later in the even.
Gates opened early Tuesday and they will open early for the entire 4-game series, but somehow Morrow managed to get into the park early to watch the man everyone is here to see.
To give some idea as to the level of hype this game has reached Tuesday Action 7 News took a look online and found six tickets for sale to this game with an asking price of $300.
The Isotopes set an attendance record last year and they said with Ramirez's guest appearance, they are on pace to set another record this year.
They can keep Manny, lol, the L.A. Dodgers are doing fine without him.
The Isotopes? Is Dancing Homer still there?
Their new mascot is named Orbit, and I just read he is being sued for sexual harassment.
Manny has been banned from baseball for 50 games. Not 40 something and a chance to play triple A baseball.
the Commissioner should add more time to his suspension.
I was thinking that very thing last night when I heard about this. I thought, “Huh?” However, I also heard something about this being part of his “rehabilitation,” so....???
