[history]
A Chicago police officer avoided jail time today for pummeling a woman who was tending bar, even though prosecutors produced a previously unseen video showing him beating someone else at the bar hours earlier.
Anthony Abbate was sentenced to two years probation for beating Karolina Obrycka in February of 2007. He could have gotten up to five years for the attack, which was captured by the bar's security camera and shown around the world.

"Then Flemming let him skate."
...and the dipsticks that obstructed justice to cover for this pond scum still hold title as "Chicago's finest".

Wow. Injustice at its finest. What happens when he kills someone? Will he get jail then?

Jesse Jackson and Sharpton should be demanding jail time for this pig.
Oh wait. Never mind. The victim is the wrong color.
What was I thinking..

I’ve seen the video; it was an outrageous and unprovoked attack. If I recall correctly, she had cut him off from drinking because he was out of control.
I’m surprised she wasn’t critically injured or worse.

That’s curious. I think I pretty much mix
up the categories, depending on the
importance of the article and the source
(blog, etc.), but I’ll keep that in mind.
What problem does it cause, so I understand ?
Sure don’t want to get on your bad list. You
all do a fantastic job.... ;)

He was an Assistant Cook County States Attorney for eight years. We have received significant reports that Mr. Fleming lacks a responsible attitude and good judgment in

Does somebody have PDS?
Nope. Just the ability to observe and draw reasonable conclusions from real data.
It's only derangement if it ain't true and there are numerous articles posted here every day that support my assertion that the police are out of control and rarely, if ever, get punished for their crimes.
And that's just the notoriously stupid MSM is able to uncover. For each instance that gets reported you can bet there are many more that were successfully swept under the thin blue rug.

A remarkable number, given what humans are... Nonsense again.
How many times have you accidentally walked into the wrong restroom by mistake?
Odds are very, very slim that you ever will and even if you do it once you'll still have a 99.999% success rate over your lifetime.
Cops aren't being asked to do anything impossible, just to obey the same laws as the rest of us and to treat the public with respect.
It's astounding how few can consistently pull that off.
Ive been alive long enough to know that is a remarkably good number.
Not even close.
and there are some really great cops out there that get lumps for this crap.
Absolutely true, but to qualify you have to both act well and turn in those who don't. Again it's astounding how few can consistently pull that off.
..but 1%? I can live with it...Id be happy if it were 5%...
1% is way too high. 5% is astronomical. I won't be happy until it's 0%.
It's not that hard. Cops should not be sanctioned thugs. Ever.

That is a very good thought. I wonder how many of these incidents happen in right to carry states (esp. where you can carry in a bar).

Sarah Palin needs only to flip 10% or so of the womens vote to be a serious contender in 2012. If I were her, Id give Obummer a day or two to respond, and if he didnt, Id loudly ask why this was business as usual in his home town.Spot on!

Lunatic?
Not really, just observant. This kind of behavior amongst the badged and robed thugs is quite common and becoming more so.
Denying it changes nothing, these “men” are filth and nothing more..

Ill get it when assholes like this, who do things like this, get jail time. What you don't understand is that the vast majority of people don't get jail time for misdemeanor or first time Felony charges.
A person usually has to be a repeat offender or commit a very serious felony before there is even a thought of jail time. Probation is the NORM.
I'm not saying that this guy didn't deserve jail time. I'd have given it to him. However, MOST criminals don't get the time.
