I’m sure Depp has scared his old children half to death if they ever got to see him in costume for any of those movies.

Easy to typecast, when is the last time Johny Depp portrayed a reality character? Willy Wonka, Edward Sissor Hands, Jack Sparrow, Raoul Duke, The Madd Hatter, Sweeny Todd, Ichabod Crane. Easy to typecast. He is talented though.

This summer he's John Dillinger in "Public Enemies."

But Johnny Depp's fantasy roles are all more "real" than that CIA agent he played in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Or maybe that was a fantasy role ...

..."eagerly-anticipated"? You mean because Disney did such a sucky job?

I loved Rickman till he started blabbing Leftist dogma in interviews and then he produced that play in the UK about the American activist who got bulldozed in Gaza. Now I can't see him without seeing just another Marxist goon with a posh accent.

If you want your head to explode, rent “Lost in La Mancha”, then try to figure out how Gilliam has stayed out of mental institutions all these years, much less been given money and a camera.

Gilliam is one of the few filmmakers working in English with a geniune personal vision.

He's playing John Dillinger in "Public Enemies," coming up soon, and he played that real-life drug dealer in "Blow."

He's an amazing actor.

Very funny. Too bad making movies that people want to see isn’t part of his “genuine personal vision”. Although I’m probably one of only seven people who thought “Brazil” was genius.

Depp played George Jung in “Blow.” Jung established the cocaine market in the U.S.

The Libertine, Secret Window (creepy but good), From Hell, Chocolat, the Ninth Gate, The Astronaut’s Wife.

Benny and Joon was on the edge, but he was a “normal” character.

We own a lot of Depp movies, because my daughter likes him. And yes, I watched all the “21 Jump Street” shows when they were on (my daughter watched a couple of seasons on the internet but lost interest in the shows after Depp left).

He’s a lefty, but he is an excellent actor, and has done a lot of different roles. He does tend to gravitate toward the quirky though more often than not.

Oh this looks like it will be good.

Better than a remake of Alien, anyway. ;-)

He was also great as Ed Wood.

Aw. Wish you hadn’t told me that about Rickman. I so enjoy him.

I have come to expect that they are all commies, proving that commies have talent, too.
