(I ended it when The Sopranos and Deadwood were cancelled.)
I am all over this movie. BoB is still one of my all time favorite movies. (series)
Excellent.
“The Pacific”
A 10-part mini-series from the creators of “Band of Brothers” telling the intertwined stories of three Marines during America’s battle with the Japanese in the Pacific during World War II.

Spielberg and Hanks did OK by “Band of Brothers”. I’ll assume that they’ll give the same respectful treatment to this. Looking forward to it.
Bump for later watch.
If it’s half as good as Band of Brothers, it will be outstanding.
I cannot watch “Band of Brothers” w/out thinking of my dad who was in the US Army Infantry is WW II. Makes me almost cry.
I’m working on the show right now. Its very good. There are some incredible scenes.
Thanks for the heads up. I don’t have HBO, but the BOB DVD set that came out was well worth the money. My DAD was WWII Pacific, so this one is a must see.
I may have to sign back for HBO, i don’t want to wait a year for the boxed set.
I watched a bunch of BoB over the weekend, while it was raining AGAIN, or should I say STILL. UGH. GF thinks i’m nuts, but she wanted to watch Run’s House. I’d rather fish in the rain than watch that crap.
It’s not fair to tease us like that, ya know...
I'm a tightwad, and I laid out about 100 bucks to have it on DVD. Just was watching it the other night, in fact.
Dale Dye is the Senior military adviser, so you know it will be realistic. He was the adviser for “Saving Private Ryan” and “Band of Brothers,” as well as acting as Col. Robert Sink.
I don’t have HBO but been waiting for this. Might subscribe just long enough to watch this.
The History Channel currently has the rights to BofB and will hold a marathon a couple of weekends per year. Last one was yesterday and Saturday. Of course, they bleep out some of the choicer language.
