Canadian mother Maureen Lee has fought off a cougar that leapt onto her daughter during a walk in the woods with her bare hands. Seeing her child pinned she dove between the two and threw the large cat off before scooping up her child and running.
Her three-year-old daughter, who thought the animal just wanted to play, is recovering nicely from puncture wounds on her head and arm. The cougar fared less well - conservation officers located it and killed it.
You’re welcome.
Is this lady any relation to Kanawa?
“We just found Cougar tracks in my backyard...”
Heels or flats?
If not, she should be!
:)
How are you and the pups, Kanawa?
Are you traveling this summer?
I take it B.C. is not hip to the fact that certain wildlife problems are best solved with good aim and large caliber hollow points.
Beautiful scenes, great pics, Daaave. Thanks!
The right tool for the right job.
This is not so uncommon. There was a news story not so long ago about a Canadian woman tossing a bear out of her home.
Project for this summer...
I’m looking at buying 50 acres of undeveloped land in New Brunswick.
Doing it in conjunction with a farming couple that are buying the adjacent property.
Sam is in training to be a farm dog.
Twice a week I have him out at a farm getting used to being around the livestock.
He’s also getting familiar with the couples Newfoundland dog.
She looks a bit like a bear :)
