They are evidence adnd as such must be preserved throughout the trial.
I have done cocker rescue and when a puppymill is busted we are called to house the animals until the trial is over. We can not permanently place any of the dogs until after the trial and it is mighty hard to find homes for dogs that one might have to give back if the defendant is found not guilty and the jusge orders the dogs returned. It could happen in this case, too. :(
What can we expect, it’s NM!
“Im getting the impression that a pit bull once barked at a certain freeper and forever altered his life...”
Yup. I have that impression also.
I can recommend “chet99hatespitbulls.com” as an alternative to spamming Freerepublic....
Where else but New Mexico ping.
Put them all in the same cage, take bets, invite Sontomoyer and La Raza over for some pig brains, and fried sh!t. It’ll be Cinqo de Mayo all over again.
Weird ain’t it?
You remember the old saying, "Poor little New Mexico...so far from God, so close to Texas"...!
What about bobcats, bears, panthers and such?
Should we exterminate them too?
>You remember the old saying, “Poor little New Mexico...so far from God, so close to Texas”...!
I DON’T remember that saying. Of course the state would be a lot better off if it abided by the state constitution:
http://www.sos.state.nm.us/pdf/2007nmconst.pdf
Take a look at its Bill of Rights (Art. 2); especially sections 1, 4, 6, and 8.
Why would they kill 50 to make room for 12? At any rate, I suspect they have to keep the dogs as evidence in a case.
Hey stop bringing up the law and logic in the middle of a pit bull hatefest! You’re spoiling it!
And we’re off...
“Because of their aggressive nature, the pit bulls will be placed in one cage apiece”
~~~
Can’t be,,,
It’s Always the owner’s fault!
Why would you compare a pet to a wild animal? That's just dumb.
>Why would you compare a pet to a wild animal? That’s just dumb.
Because a domesticated animal has some support/accountability from society. That is, there are people who can be held to account.
That pitbulls are “killer” is irrelevant; guns [and also cars, for that matter] are also ‘killer’ and yet we have the right not only to have them but use them.
Currently the law holds the owners of the pittbuls accountable for the damages don, as should be... though, for damages done to someone breaking & entering or assaulting the damages should be viewed as justified.
