This past weekend, Donna Brazile wrote some opinion piece about how the GOP can pick itself up again. I'm sure that I'd appeared a gobemouche reading that torrent of patronizing claptrap. I just recall thinking that if Donna Brazile advising the GOP is akin to Herr Goebbels handing out free train tickets to Germany's hated minorities.

The Mets could have used a gobemouche to swallow up this simple infield fly on Friday. As a Yankee fan for the last 56 of my 61 years, I turned the television off in disgust while A-Rod's pop up was still in the air.
