HOUSTON (AP)—The Houston Texans have signed quarterback Rex Grossman.

Grossman, an unrestricted free agent, led the Chicago Bears to the NFC championship in 2006, when he threw for 3,193 yards and 23 touchdowns.

The 28-year-old will compete with Alex Brink(notes) to be Houston’s third quarterback behind starter Matt Schaub(notes) and Dan Orlovsky(notes), who spent last season in Detroit.

Laugh at the Toxins if you must but Goose Gosselin predicts that they have a great opportunity to step up and win their division this yr! If only by virtue of a down season for the usual contendas. You got an offensive coaching vacuum in Indy, fer example. Jax is an unknown quantity as usual—hopes aren’t too high there. Can K Collins repeat last yr’s performance at his age? You gotta wonder...It’s not impossible.

Well, at least he "led" them for 6 or 7 games. That Monday night game vs. Arizona is one I'll never forget (as a die-hard Bears fan)....

Cordell “Down Low” Stewart was very emotional that he was not considered.

Yeah!! A good defensive team (at that point, until Lovie fired defensive coordinator Ron Rivera for taking them to the Super Bowl), good special teams, and a disaster on offense (6 turnovers from the QB, anyone?)... What a classic!!

Yep, catch them on half the field when the senior badminton league starts up once again. Since the Toxins almost never score there usually is no conflict on the field. And don't forget: buy 2 season tickets, get 8 free!

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Oh, I betcha her heart is all a-twitter about Wrecks going under center for the Toxins. Why, she's no doubt already pre-ordered this poster- with a touch up here and there with new team colors and all- for her wall...

And he won 2 playoff games. The Seahawks game was a great example. He should not have lost his job in Chicago but the bright side is while Orton is not better than him Orton’s bad play led us to getting Cutler who is 10 times the QB Rex is and 100 times the one Orton is.

If Rex gets on the field this is a good chance to rebuild his rep.

This is also another sign Favre is going to wind up in Minny. The Vikings were talking to Rex but were awaiting Favre’s decision.
