Stephen Baldwin's Home In Foreclosure

Stephen Baldwin's New York home is set to be auctioned off by authorities after the actor defaulted on more than $824,000 (£549,330) in outstanding mortgage payments.

Documents filed in Rockland County show the Hollywood star and his wife Kennya have been missing repayments to finance firm Bankers Trust Co., despite only paying $515,000 (£343,330) for the property in 1997.

And Baldwin, who is currently competing in reality TV show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, may find himself homeless when he finally emerges from the Costa Rican jungle - the mansion has been foreclosed and is due to go up for public sale on 24 June.

Looks like Baldwin will have to do another reality show in order to raise some cash and take a course in microeconomics.

If you ever listened to his radio program late night on the weekend you would undrestand how his career came to be a failure.

He’s a good dude. But I was wondering why he had sank to hawking a smoothie company one morning on F&F (with Doucy).

Now I know. He was desperate.

But he’ll come back. Money can be made as fast as it can be lost.

Not necessarily. He might have invested and lost it.

I was reading that he missed payment for the past 19 months or so. Does it take that long to be foreclosed on?

I thought they’d foreclose on you if you were behind 60-90 days.

I thought the Canadian Air Force bombed the Baldwin residence.

“Baldwin residence. No, this is Billy Baldwin. If you want Daniel Baldwin call his extension, stupid!”

“Hey Alec, you know what sucks about being a Baldwin?”

Alec Baldwin: “No, what?”

Billy Baldwin: “Nothing!”

*BOOM*

Billy Baldwin: Ha-ha, you missed me!

*BOOM*

Nice house-—one wonders why he didn’t try to knock off more of the outstanding premium. So grateful my little 1500 sq ft humble abode is paid in full save for the yearly extortion of property taxes.

... paid $515,000 for the circa-1850 home in 1997. He then listed the property for $3.4 million in 2006

That seems rather unrealistic ... and since it didn't sell, I guess everyone else thought so, too.

You're assuming Alec has a "heart"..and he doesn't. He's mean as hell.

Typical of the Liberal Hollywood types. They make millions, but still can’t live within their means.

Just because he is born-again doesn’t mean he is good with managing his money.

I watch very little TV and very few movies therefore I don't know if Steve Baldwin is any good as an actor. Assuming he's as good as the rest of the Hollywood crowd I wonder if his religious and political positions have hurt his career thereby making it harder to pay the mortgage...?

Obama doesn;t do too good a job keeping his own brother, maybe it’s best he not offer advice on the matter.

“Why doesn’t Alec Baldwin buy the huose and he can rent it out to his brother?”

500 k to pay off the guy’s mortgage, 400 k to pay off the extra loans he added to the mortgage ...

That’s almost a million bucks.

I wouldnt even If I had the money. I’d offer to rent him an apartment while he got his life together, but if he didnt, I’d eventually kick him out of that apartment. The wife and kids can stay, they shouldnt suffer for a no-good man.
