I suppose the moron who wrote that blurb hasn’t touched Vista since it was introduced.

Windows 7 is supposed to have XP virtual machine on the higher end versions but probably not the Windows 7 Home and other low end versions.
Has that changed? Microsoft needs to include the XP virtual machine in all versions to avoid another Vista fiasco.

"Microsoft is launching Windows 7 in mid-October 2009. This new operating system isn't just a "Vista that works" program - it's a new operating system with improved productivity, functionality and creativity that uses less computer resources." ROTFL!

Been running the Windows 7 Release Candidate for a couple of weeks now and I find it VERY improved over Vista, especially in terms of resource usage. The footprint is much smaller than Vista. So far I have been using this computer about 2-4 hours each night, and have had one Blue Screen error in that time from a crashed game program.
It sounds right now like when the release version of 7 comes out, I will effectively have to reinstall it rather than just entering a new activation key. That's all that keeps me from trying it on my laptop as well.
