With this kind of reverence for the sacrament of marriage, is it any wonder there is such a high divorce rate?

My guess is most of them have been rode like Seattle Slew by the time they mosey down the aisle anyway.

I don’t really care what the dress looks like as long as it isn’t too bad.
It’s going to be off in a few hours anyway.
I don’t know any young bride that would truly dress trampy.....some weird, but not trampy.

I suppose that a ho dressing like a ho could be considered truth in advertizing. Any man who gets married these days is a fool.

Don’t think there’s many of them walking down the aisle nowadays. Maybe that’s why the slutty look.

When I was looking at wedding gowns three years ago, I couldn’t find any with sleeves. They just didn’t make them like that. If you were a modest enough bride to want your shoulders covered, you could get a dress that came with a lace jacket or capelet, modest enough, but unwearable for me.
I had to have my mother make my dress.

I support this. Why the pretense? Women with more than 10 sexual partners do not belong in a traditional white wedding gown. They should go dressed like Christina Aguilera.

While I agree, I think there are many reasons why the divorce rate is high. One is that I think some people have lost sight of the importance of the simple things in life, like just being together. Joy comes from within, and it’s hard to share joy with someone else if you aren’t happy and well grounded to some extent before marriage. I also think that some increase in the divorce rate over what it was 50 years ago is probably good (though not to the extent it is now). I say this because of the many years I watched my mother and father diminish each other.

I know this sounds so corny, but if I know a woman is throwing stuff out there like this, it actually makes me lose interest. I guess its the whole ingrained idea of me having to work for it. Who knows?

With this kind of reverence for the sacrament of marriage, is it any wonder there is such a high divorce rate? Holding all religious ceremonies and the seriousness of chilren in one. A marriage certificate in this day and age is little more than creating a girlfriend with paperwork. And a bad financial bet long term for the men.

This is all perverted. It is sick. And I refuse to accept that this is somehow “normal” and “OK” because it isn’t. It is wrong.
