Thanks. I got a kick out of it since the headline over in London focused on that and it really was a significant point too since that lardo could’ve killed that lady very easily. I hope somebody bashes his head in a few times when he gets behind the bars. I know, I’m mean, but I have no sympathy for creeps like this, drunk or not.

If this had been one of my sisters, or daughters, the least of this cop's problems would be what the law would do to him. He'd have to sit with his back to the wall for the rest of his life.

Hmph. Well, I've never been in jail - never even received a speeding ticket in 30 some years of driving. But, I did spend 20 years in the Marines. Maybe that's where you sense some "violence".

No but I have been around violence enough and lived the life long enough to know when someone is posturing, 45 or 50 year old men that make claims like you just claimed on the internet, have arrest records.

Apparently at least some of the people in the bar knew he was a cop. Officer Gerald Callahan, who was involved in a similar bar beating subsequent to this one, was found by Niles, Illinois police, passed out ON TOP OF HIS FIREARM in some bushes.

If you investigate the timeline of this incident, you’ll see a consistent pattern of collusion, favoritism and deference shown to Abbate by Chicago Police Deparment personnel at every level. I have no doubt that the incredible delays (weeks, in fact) in his apprehension were to ensure that there would be no evidence that he was carrying a firearm at the time of this cowardly attack. He actually went to court once to petition to be allowed to possess firearms so that he could remain on the payroll.

Another Chicago cop (Alvin Weems) who fatally shot an unarmed man (Michael Pleasance) in the face (on video, no less) and lied about it, was never criminally prosecuted and received as “punishment” a 30 day suspension.

Given the recent history of the Chicago PD, and the knowledge of the bar patrons, I’m sure nobody wanted to be the subject of a “justifiable” homicide by a Chicago cop, “defending himself” from an “unprovoked attack” by the barmaid and any wouldbe good samaritans.
