That's the first time I've ever seen Conan. He's got an annoying little laugh.

Last night’s show seemed a little forced.

I don’t think Conan can make it work. I say he’s gone in a year.

Jay Leno never really took command of it either imho. Carson was a class act and made it the “institution” it is.

I guess you know you are getting older when you have your third Tonight Show host take over the chair. Carson as a kid, then Leno now O’Brien.

I’ve never been able to tolerate him for more than about 30 seconds. And he’s not funny; he’s just . . . weird.

Last night was the first time I watched the Tonight Show in over a decade.
Not even intentionally, just up late and happened to tune in.
It’s got potential.

Leno was torture. He was never funny to me and Conan is brilliant! Good for Conan, he deserved the spot.

I doubt Conan will live up to Leno, much less Carson. I have watched Conan occasionally for several years — at first his brand of humor seemed fresh and funny, but eventually it became repetitious and stale. Carson played to a broader, more mature audience, Conan plays to the 20-somethings. Groups like Pearl Jam (unoriginal, unmusical, spastic jumping freaks) have no appeal to middle-aged and older people that remember what real talent is. I think I’ll lull myself to sleep with a book instead.

I liked Conan’s old show. Haven’t seen the new tonight show, but I would guess he’ll do just fine.
