I just spent 18 years if my life workig for a Swiss company. They “reorganized” and let me go today. Looking at their utter lack of management skills in the past few years, this doesn’t surprise me.

No. The car in the picture is a VW Golf from an ad.
WV had production facilities in the US for a while but then shut down. I can only assume that's due to US being hostile to the industry. With a saur taste in its mouth, Wolfsburg said "auf Wiedersehen"
Never mind the "Volt" or the Chevy Microbe, VW has several models available now that get 58 MPG on the relatively low tech and clean diesel technology (TDI).
They last forever and need no outrageous battery pack replacements.
