I have disabled it and we shall see.Well, I'm so on the ball I didn't even notice it when it was installed but, looking at the add-ons, there it is in all its microsoft glory. And it does have a disable button so that, at least, is a good thing. :0)

Click “Tools” and then “Add-ons”. It’s there listed as “Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant” and it’s version 1.0. There is a disable button. Click it, and restart the browser. Now it’s disabled.
