Let all the pit bulls loose down in southern Florida to take care of the pythons and monitor lizards.

The two collies that attacked my brother looked more like the snarling monster in the second pic.

From:910kennels.com

In America, the Pit Bull flourished. It was one of the most popular breeds, highly prized by a wide variety of people. The Pit Bull was used to represent the US in WWI artwork; popular companies like RCA and the Buster Brown Shoe Company, use the breed as their masctos. A Pit Bull named Petie starred in the popular children's television series, Our Gang; a Pit Bull mix named Stubby became a decorated WWI hero. Pit Bulls accompanied pioneer familes on their explorations. Laura Ingalls Wilder of the popular Little House books owned a working Pit Bulldog named Jack. Famous Individuals like Theodore Roosevelt and Hellen Keller owned the breed.

Oh no, Collies are over 20 pounds and have sharp teeth. They’re clearly too dangerous for anyone to own!

Readers:
Pit bulls are most certainly not American in origin. They were bred from English white terriers, black and tan terriers and bulldogs in Britain. They were first brought here by Irish immigrants during the 1800s along with a few other problems. The dogs have been banned in the UK for a long time.
