That is the Cutest Post, Amy and
Billie! I Love to Watch the Turtles at the King's Ranch,
And there seems to still be a Lot of them, even through Doggie Grabs One Occasionally,
And has it as a Meal. :(
A Good Day to All FRiends!
~Turtle on the King's Ranch~
The Turtle
My Life is One of Food and Ease
Going when and where I Please
I Love this Log Out in the Sun;
My Only Wish: that I could Run!
Being Slow is not that Great;
Everywhere I Go, I'm Late!
But Better Late than Never, Yes?
Or Friends would Miss the Very Best!
I'm Conceited; Yes, it's True;
But Truth is Truth; what can you Do?
It's Evident at just a Glance:
I'm the Greatest on this Ranch!
Among the Ducks and Fish I Swim
Before Retreating to my Limb;
In the Water I can See
A Sight So Handsome: it's Me!

“What country would be a good place? Ireland?”
Ireland or Iceland fewest negatives and decent concepts of freedoms. (Iceland only has an 18% corp tax so my business will keep more money for me)

I'm in agreement, JOHNN.
It will be interesting to see how many show up in DC in September.
It seems that too many of us are either blind or naive.
They seem to think the Constitution will save us.
We need to ask God to Protect those young Americans fighting for FReedom and our Constitution.
Without us protecting it, the Constitution is just a piece of paper.
I worry for our children and our grandchildren.
Thank you for sharing your poems with us.

Good afternoon, Kitty.
Turtles are very interesting to watch.
We don't have any ponds so we have no turtles.
We have lizards. :)
Thank you for sharing your turtle picture and your cute, cute poem.
Have a lovely Monday.
I will be back later.
I need to grab a sandwich and then go to the mailbox.

REST IN PEACE, FALLEN BROTHER!
Sgt. Joshua Melton, USA, KIA 19JUN2009
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)
God Of Our Fathers
Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in peace! We who remain hold you in high honor. Rest, fallen brother, in this sacred precinct; We who remain keep this place sacred. Rest, fallen brother, among these, your comrades; We who remain keep the watch. Rest, fallen brother, among these who answered the Nations call; We who remain press the fight forward in your name. Rest, fallen brother, lay down thy burden; We who remain have taken up the torch. Rest in Peace, fallen brother, rest in eternal peace!

For All The Cat~People Of Amy's Place
Cozy Comfort
A tisket. A tasket. We three Kittens truly enjoy this basket!
That's deep and plushly padded and positively reeks of style
And at any moment could be the lush focus of an impromtu Kitten Pile
That can easily fit a fare of two, bravely intrepid and quietly proud
Who do not really believe that two is company and three might be a crowd
This basket makes a most colorful and comfortable base of operations
For getting together to discuss or next adventure or night time exploration
Which might last a very long time due to sister Whisper's fascination
With what Our Pretty One does in preparation to sleep only a few hours
And little brother Blitzen's desire to investigate each and every flower
Finding intricate ways to get to places that are far beyond our powers
Which is embarrassing, since I, Rocco am the eldest and like to scour
Through deep velvet shadows for odd devices, shiny and intricate
That hide in places where a determined treasure hunter shouldn't fit
We are quite a handful! Which Our Pretty One will attest to easily
With our favorite basket always close by to re-charge our batteries

Thank you, Kitty. And what a neat poem you wrote to go with your cute turtle! You should write more for us.
Meg, your Father's Day opening and individual posts were absolutely wonderful yesterday!
I am going to post the Tuesday opening in just a few minutes and then probably won't be around very much all week. Thanks to yorkie and jaycee for covering for me tomorrow!
Thanks to all for the pings and the beautiful posts from yesterday.

Thank you for the ladybug poem, Yorkie,
and giving me the theme for today.
Know you'll find many more cute ladybugs
to post throughout the day.
Thanks so much for co-hostessing today

Thanks for all the cute posts you make
everyday, Jaycee, and thank you so much
for helping "mingle, mingle" today
so that I can tend to my houseguests.
Hope you know how much I appreciate you!
good morning everyone. Today is my weekly expedition about 30 miles east to massage & yoga class in Joseph's home & then dog walk on my friend Shirley's farm.. she has 100 acres of woods, meadow, lakes, streams . I am taking a crock pot of soup, some harvest Bread, and Polka Dot Riesling wine for the yoga group to share for lunch. about 4-6 of us in class.
My dear friend Dave's 33 year old daughter Divine died of cancer over the weekend & visitation is today & tomorrow with the funeral tomorrow evening at 8. I need to decide if I will cancel my plans to go to Ft. Wayne to see Celtic Women tomorrow evening to participate in her service. She was diagnosed 2 years ago with an advanced & very aggressive form of BC. The docs at that time gave her 2 months but God gave her the grace to continue for several years & she was very powerful in her impact on others. I find the time frame of 8 PM a bit unusual for services and will be curious to hear why this was chosen. Maybe so more of the young people who knew her can attend without missing work
Hope all have a great day. Enjoy lady bugs but there are some in the "family" that make their presence here in fall & BITE WITH A NASTY VENGEANCE!

After I re-read your post, you do seem to have a nice day planned today. Have a wonderful time!
And I am very sorry to hear of your friend’s daughter passing away at such a young age. May God be with Dave and the family at this very sad time. (((Hugs)))
