I’m looking for newspaper sales to start taking as people no longer can afford to repair their shoes or purchase new ones.

Don’t understand the “thrift” appeal of Spam. If one buys cuts of meat when they’re on sale, the per-pound price is cheaper than Spam’s per-pound price. I don’t get it.

Yuck. I hated it when my mom made that for “dinner.” She fried it and put a slice of pineapple on it. Her beef stroganoff was much better.

Many buy Spam as a survival food because it keeps longer.
I stocked Chef-Boy-r-Dee as my emergency food....taste better and is a hell of alot cheaper...

Another example of better living under the Obama administration? Geez, there was ‘a chicken in every pot’ now there’s ‘Spam, spam, spam.’.

In Canada they eat Kam and Klick. Tastes really good when canoe tripping and paddling hard all day. Sliced, topped with canned pineapple rings, and cooked in a reflector oven to perfection, yum.

I don’t really consider SPAM to be gourmet fare, but I keep a store of it because it’s non-perishable and easy to store. It has the right amount of fat and salt to properly flavor pinto and navy beans, both of which are also in my emergency stores.

A couple months ago , while taking my elderly blind mother to the grocery store, mom started putting spam in her cart. when i asked why she told me “for the depression”.
since she lived through the “great depression”, i defered to her expertise.
She died sunday. I guess she didn’t have to worry about the depression after all.

In my lower middle class potted meat early youth, Spam was a treat.
As was Treet....or Underwood Deviled ham
any kids here recall that?
