BTW, with reference to Sotomayor, “Hispanic” is not a race, but rather a (poorly defined) ethnic group. Sotomayor looks Caucasian to a large extent. From what I understand, Americans from other Latino backgrounds (Mexican, Cuban, Dominican, etc.) probably won’t identify with Sotomayor much if at all.
