I hear ya. We have no internet at work, and no e-mail. I do quotes for landscapers after hours, too. However, I find ways to pad my paycheck to make sure my time is compensated. I don’t ‘work for free’ for an employer, away from home. ;)

I’ll have my own business in the near future, too. There’s a real dearth of knowledge out there, and a big niche to fill concerning home gardeners and those that need advice on ‘which plant where.’

Years ago, I did an exercise in a book (’The Path’ by Laurie Beth Jones, I think) to help you decide what ‘job’ fits you best.

Mine ‘four quadrants’ were: teaching, gardening, sharing and community. I know I can find a way to combine then all and make a buck in the process. ;)

Hear, hear! Maybe we could join forces and do a sort of area related gardening advice thingy! LOL I’ll get the deep south if you’ll do the frozen north!
