“She was a product of those times in a not very successful fashion,” said NBC News’ Tom Brokaw.

Yeah, she got caught. The successful ones are Obama neighbors who still reminisce about killing people back in the good old days.

Why does her semi-justification sound like something straight out of Code Pink? And why is it these nuts only feel this obligation towards Republicans. Why was LBJ never “targeted” quite as pointedly? Why was George Bush hammered, yet Obama follows his nearly identical policies and the hard left is silent? Could it be that liberals always find some excuse to slip into radicalism as a means to wrestle away power?

“I still believe if I hadn’t done it, someone else would.”

She sounds SO remorseful, while explaining how moany other people agree with what she did.

“It was a time people don’t remember. We had a war in this country, the Vietnam War,”

Uh huh,,Ok, got it. April 30, 1975, Saigon fell completely. American troops had been absent for 2 years. After the April 75 fall, NO Americans whatsoever were there. She shot at Ford in Sept of 1975.

Just because someone looks like a grandma doent mean anything. They might have been an evil SOB 40 or 50 years before. Don’t be hoodwinked.

However, she added: "I still believe if I hadn't done it, someone else would."

Squeaky Fromme also attempted to assassinate President Ford, so I suppose the belief is confirmed.

“It was a time people don't remember. We had a war in this country, the Vietnam War,” Moore told Matt Lauer

It was a time she apparently doesn't remember, either, if she thinks the U.S. was still fighting the Vietnam War in 1975.

Well...let's see.

In order for her to spout her victimhood, she'll be on larry "brain dead" king, oprah "I've got mine, sucka" win-free, and two Sunday morning talk shows no doubt interviewed by our gal katie "duuuhhh" couric.

After that, she'll be invited to the "white" house, given the medal of freedom by barry for her personal statement against the republican conservatives, then it'll be off to capitol hill where she'll address the congress about how all the slimy repubs were biased against her kind all along.

Then, she be given a "free" GM car, a "free" house, "free" living expenses (all of course from your and my tax dollars) and a book deal with the up front fee of $2.99MM paid to her in cash as part of the "new victims bailout" fund established by our terriffically beautiful "first" "lady" michelle "movin' on up" obammer!

Sara Jane Moore says she was wrong, “misled” and “mistaken” in trying to assassinate President Gerald R. Ford in September 1975. However, she added: “I still believe if I hadn’t done it, someone else would.” “It was a time people don't remember. We had a war in this country, the Vietnam War,” Moore told Matt Lauer in an exclusive interview on TODAY Thursday.

There were no U.S. troops in the Vietnam War when she attempted to assasinate President Ford. Was she doing so many drugs she missed the part about our troops being withdrawn from there?? The Vietnam War was over in 1975, and we were no longer involved before that- by a couple of years. I think our last 50 Marines came home in 1973 and the major withdrawl of U.S. troops took place before that. I can't believe she was allowed to claim this as any part of her reason!! Of course Ayers also claims the Vietnam War as an excuse for the violence of the Weatherman and that took place in the 1970s also.

This is going to sound a little strange, but I really thought that it would trigger a new revolution. We were saying the country needed to change, the only way it was going to change was a violent revolution. I genuinely thought that this might trigger that new revolution in this country.

Not only does it sound strange- but she is making excuses for her actions- not accepting personal responsiblity, no way is this remorse- I can't believe she was released when she still feels like this was a good reason. So if she becomes unhappy now with the way things are going- does she believe it would be ok to assasinate the President to bring about change?? Give me a break, she needed to stay locked up.

I still believe if I hadn't done it, someone else would.

That is still rationalizing what she had done. She is really showing no remorse.

Sara Jane Moore says she was...“misled”....

I note that Ms. Moore is not quoted in the article as to who exactly "misled" her. I wonder if Walter Crankite and Dan Blather had anything to do with it? She is typical of so many cretins who dwell under the fat part of the bell curve-- just another political slug à la President Zero's good friend Ayers.
