Radio Talk Show Rusty Humphries has gotten a death threat and is fearing for his life. So tonight his show is from an undisclosed location. He says he will be continuing to do his show no matter what. Rusty is one of the few radio hosts supporting Michael Savage in his legal battle with the Country of England.
Ralph "Rusty" Humphries (born 1965) is an American radio host, conservative political commentator, and songwriter. Humphries' nationally-syndicated radio show, The Rusty Humphries Show, airs on over 250 stations through Talk Radio Network.
Humphries has been named one of "America's 100 Most Important Radio Talk Show Hosts" for nine years in a row, and he was nominated as "Talk Personality Of The Year" by Radio & Records. Humphries was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame as its youngest inductee ever. He is ranked number 43 in the Talkers Magazine "Heavy Hundred" for 2008 and 38th in 2009.
I’m not too worried. Rusty should keep and bear arms.
LINK?
It’ll be interesting to see what Aaron Klein digs up on this.
I have always thought conservative talk hosts get several death threats a day.
Did Rusty say this at the beginning of his radio show tonight? I just tuned in now on XM.
No link for now as I can’t find anything on the web about it. I just heard him talking about it. As soon as I find more info I will post it.
Yes Rusty said this at the start of his show.
Yep, right at the start. Said he might have more info tomorrow. Aaron Klein is involved in this, he’s researching it and may have a story in WND tomorrow.
The little rat cowards are crawling the streets.
Go Rusty! We never give up!
ping!
They probably do get several death threats, but he made this one sound credible as if things got too close for comfort.
Exactly. Publicity stunt, perhaps?
I know that Hannity has mentioned having security a few times.
I've never heard Rush mention it, but I'll bet my paycheck he has received many thousands of threats.
The other day, on YouTube, can't remember which video it was, but one of the posters who mentioned FreeRepublic was seething with hatred and said "There won't be any knock on the door".
In other words, he was saying that the Brownshirts will simply crash through the door like a SWAT team and do away with us.
There are plenty of crazies out there to go around.
A few years back, I heard Ann Coulter mention that she still rides the NYC buses to get to places. I found that very hard to believe, and I wonder if that's still the case.
As inflammatory as she can be, I'm surprised if she doesn't need to be surrounded by body-armored guards with submachine guns.
“I have always thought conservative talk hosts get several death threats a day.”
Indeed. Death threats are not even worth talking about, especially for a national talk show host. It’s like snow in Colorado during the winter. It comes with the territory. I’ve had death threats before, and I’m just “little people”. I don’t pay them any mind and nothing has ever materialized. There are just really nutty people that write weird death threats.
Something else is afoot. Has there been an actual attempt on his life? That would be a very different thing. If not, one wonders whether there is something comparable to “sweeps week” on the radio. It would seem strange to publicize something like this.
Stay Safe, Rusty!
Are you Rusty?
Maybe the guy listened to the show and didn’t become a millionaire.
