I think it started when Jon was “made” to quit his job and work from home. He was always the breadwinner. Kate may be the strong-arm, but he was still the man.

I do think pride has taken over Kate. Ugh, this is the feminism crap that boils my blood.

They seem to have reversed roles and Jon is fighting against it, with his natural instincts. I believe Kate is using “outside influences” (feminism) to justify her role in this. Although, Jon should have fought harder for his role as man of the family.
