I understand it speaks the words “We won, so that means we can tax the **** out of them.”

I had the misfortune of seeing the exhibit when the Slickster was POTUS. He was not all that well animated; he moved his arms around in a way Clinton would never have done.

You mean, they went after thin, attractive chicks?

I’ll let you folks know in a few months when we go back to WDW.

As for Herr Klintoon, all I can remember him doing is he checks his watch while Lincoln is speaking. Rather rude actually.

I am hoping that they will move W to stand by his father.

It will be the only one of all the animatronic figures that will bow to any Muslim in the audience

I spent a week at a Disney Management course. They had some great behind the scenes stories of the Hall of Presidents. Aside from generating a few laughs to this attendee, who was already sick of the Mouse, that “attraction” has to be the lamest in the entire complex.

Tiki room was bad, but I had been drinking all day, so I thought it was funny. No I wasnt drinking in school....

The best thing about the Hall of Presidents is that it is a quick entry into an air conditioned place with a comfy seat and respite from the glare of the sun.

Up close the figures might be impressive, but from the audience seats, they are little more than department store mannequins moving their lips and making slight gestures.

However, it does have more national, historical significance than "It's a Small World" or "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" ever had.

And it does serve as a reminder of what has been lost, ever so gradually, in this country. when one sees George Washington on the same stage as Bill Clinton.

“The public is to get its first glimpse of “Robobama,” as it is known among some handlers, on July 4.”

No, I’m pretty sure I’ve been seeing “Robobama” every time POTUS/TOTUS make a speech. The only thing new here is the name, which I think is quite fitting.

” Disney officials declined to say how much it cost to build an Obama ..”

Ask George Soros.
Barry and his aides spent a lot of time guiding Disney to create the perfect the robot.
Does this guy ever put in an eight hour day ?
Maybe that’s a good thing.

Given the amount of engineering involved, there was probably lots of prototyping involved. Is it possible that we voted for the robot?

I recall an old book, Adam M-1 by William C Anderson, where the USAF creates the 1st cyborg and relies heavily upon Disney animatronic engineers. FYI: this book was published in 1964 so it predated Martin Caidin's "Cyborg" (1972) although the latter became more successful and led to the "6 Million Dollar Man". I miss some of these old authors - now we got Dan Brown and I am bored.

Sorry - I know I got off thread but President Obama is driving me out of my mind!

The best story is when Abe Lincoln’s arm fell off during a show, and it spray hydraulic fluid all over the little kids in the audience.

They will remember Abe Lincoln forever.

According to a guidebook, the castmembers who work at the Hall of Presidents sometimes put condoms in the Clinton figure’s pockets.

Even better was the unveiling of the original robotic Lincoln figure for the NY World’s Fair to some politicians from Illinois. The hydraulic fluid was red, and began leaking from his chest, before Abe fell over.
