freeloading

The truck stop is located way out in the middle of nowhere, with several dozens of acres of ground--the gasoline pumps are about a block away from the front door--and since those times I work, I work alone, it's nothing but coyotes and franksolich out there most of the time.

Anyway, I had seen a primitive bonfire about how the primitives greedily freeload, taking handfuls, bagfuls, of packets of ketchup and mustard, from fast-food places, rather than buying a bottle of ketchup and a bottle of mustard at the grocery store for home use.

Which should surprise no one not at all, the primitives being like this.

And so now I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had to deal with freeloaders like this, at work, in a job they currently have, or used to have.

When I was younger I worked at a gas station in a very liberal neighborhood of an already liberal town. It was one of my first and most notable impressions of the inherent stinginess of liberals. Yes it was a "full-service" station, but they wanted demanded more. Many was the time they would come in to get just a hair short of a car detail - interior vacuumed, all the glass cleaned, etc. - and not even buy a gallon of gas!

The boss said that he would make it up when they would have their car serviced, but I noticed who had the service jobs done and who didn't, and it was the lefties time and time again who passed us by for what was probably a coupon special at the Jiffy Lube.

The only time I've ever seen a generous liberal when when he was handing out other people's money.

It's true.

I know people who do this.

They steal creamers and sugar packets from the coffee shop, and take cutlery from a restaurant. Government workers who employ taxi chits for personal use, and do all their shopping from work. They never buy paper, pens, pencils, staples, or staplers. A neighbor works for a construction company, and built his home from the raw materials he has stolen from his employer.

It's sickening, and rampant.

I taught in a southern school where the black teachers would bring tinfoil in their purses on the days we were served a buffet at our teachers’ meeting. These teachers would carry home fried chicken and ribs from the buffet. It was sure an eye opener to me.

I was coming thru North Carolina one evening with friends, We stopped at a buffet at the Golden Corral. As we were eating a black lady went up and filled her pocketbook with chicken off the buffet. When our waitress came to refill our tea glasses we told her of it, and she said . Thats nothing it happens all the time, it isn't worth the argument it causes to stop them from doing it.

I work as a representative for a product line on weekends (I'm retired and do this because the wife said I needed to get off the PC and out of the house...and it pays for golf...).

Last year, we had a woman pick up a 44# bag of dog food and walk out the door with it. Security camera caught her in the act. She simply walked through a closed register lane and out the door. I I'D' the product for the store. There was nothing there to go after her with so it was a done deal. But I thought that was pretty feisty on her part...

And he didn’t even buy any gas (if I’m reading it right). Classy guy.

Nope, didn't even buy gasoline, not a drop. Didn't spend a single cent for anything, period.

after they pawn everything they have for drugs and liquor and blame the kids for eating them into the poor house and lose their pawned stuff.... of course every problem is someone else’s fault.

and no, I am not going to add what I didn’t put it the previous sentence.

I’ve had to move all my portion-pack condiments and napkins behind the deli counter where the customers have to ask for it.

Before I did this, they would literally cram their pockets and purses full of ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, etc. Same thing with dressings for my salads. The normal people understood perfectly, the freeloaders all called me a racist asshole. I politely blew them off.

I had one food-stamp queen come in and ask for 6 packets of ketchup for the french fries her future government charges were spilling all over my floor. Since I didn’t sell french fries, I asked her where she got them. She told me the 7-Eleven up the street. I told her to go back to the 7-Eleven and get the ketchup she obviously “forgot.” The racist, hateful rant that spewed from this woman’s mouth went on for almost 5 minutes until I told her if she didn’t leave the store, I would call the sheriff.

They’re born to it. The don’t know any other way and think there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I love disabusing them of the notion. Makes for great entertainment in the middle of the day.

Yup, same experience here.

I run a wholesale distribution operation (vending, OSC) in the center of a light manufacturing business center. My brokers and manufacturing reps leave samples of their products all the time for my customers to try new items and taste them.

I have a soft drink machine and sell individual frozen items for my customers and the local employees since they need to drive to eat.

I have to tell the local employees who come in for a soda or sandwich NOT to take the samples over and over again .

I once had one of them who literally took 30 or more sample frozen sandwiches and snacks thinking she would just load up. Probably about $50.00 worth of merchandise. She was appalled I made her put it back. She didn't blink an eye thinking she was stealing

I have heard about people taking stuff from motel rooms, I also know that motel employees can be a little sticky fingered as well. A few weeks ago at a Marriott someone took almost all of my husband prescriptions drugs. None of them were narcotics or any kind of pain killer so I don't get it. He takes about 10 different things for blood pressure, diabetes, heart etc. They didn't take the bottles, they just took almost all the pills out of them, leaving him one or 2 pills in each bottle. Most were new prescriptions. I had this happen to me once many years ago in New Orleans, it was a pain medication. We will lock his pills up from now on.
