FRANKFORD - May 24, 2009 (WPVI) -- A woman was mauled by a pit bull inside her home this morning.
Police were called to the 4700 block of Worth Street in Philadelphia's Frankford section just before 4:00.
The 43-year-old homeowner said she had been attacked by her daughter's pit bull and the dog was blocking their escape from the upstairs of the home.
. . .
The victim told police the mauling happened when she tried to break up a fight between the pit bull and another dog. She also said the pit bull was under her care because it had bitten one of her daughter's neighbors.
She says her daughter was trying to find the dog a new home.

2 of my dogs get into it every so often but now I have a stick! The little alpha JRT is the trouble maker and she is also the one who gets hurt. When I see her acting up all I have to say I AM GONNA GET MY STICK! LOL! When she hears the word STICK said loudly, she starts to wiggle around and wag her tail, as if to say “I didn’t really mean it”.
The one dog that I’d buy! Blenheim. If I had $1500.
We have 3 kitties. And a spayed white manx outside that was abandoned. Bobbi the manx is like having a dog. She guards us and walks with us all over the farm. But we feed her too well as she only plays with mice etc never really killing them. She likes freaking out chipmunks too. I could use their population thinned but the cat’s not into it! lol
Exactly what are you basing the accusation of this being a fetish on? Has Chet99 emailed you Pit Bull related porn pictures or mentioned any form of sexual arousal to you? Have you reported this to the AdminMod?
water is good.....so is a cow prod (for serious dogs)but I’d be careful with a prod on really big badassed dogs like Presa Canarios or Dogos
when I was a boy dogs could roam the nighborhood legally and we’d use the garden hose on them when they fought...usually over a bitch in heat
LOL amazing what you can do if you’re consistent.
LOL what a bad cat! I have a dog who I suspect would also be a good mouser. She is heck on lizards.
Fetish
2. any object, idea, etc., eliciting unquestioning reverence, respect, or devotion: to make a fetish of high grades.
I have heard many things thru the years to break up dog fights, and a water hose works fairly well, altho I’ve never found the perfect method. The best one, as far as I can tell is to be alert and stop the fight before it happens. Unfortunately for most people, they don’t know how to recognize it ahead of time, or they aren’t paying attention.
Damn skippy. ;-)
Damn skippy. ;-)
You don’t have to say it twice, I can use both ears at once.
(And read with both eyes too!)
Good one. :-)
Some of the same names always show up for Chet’s postings. They love the dog of peace and its always the owners fault..They are the fanatics about pit and cross pit breeds..its strange that they click on Chet posts and then complain. They just cannot help themselves. I don’t click on posts that I don’t want to read...but to click on and complain and call names is the M O of these people
Thanks for the update on the dog of peace Chet. Always interesting to read..
We have a feral cat that we tamed, NiMH. He was a great hunter. But we moved, he's now almost 10 and I won't let him out anymore. Besides, he used to bring in live rabbits and chipmunks to chase around the house with us. He thought it was great. Now he catches mice (old farmhouse) and puts them on the bed at 5AM. Live. I keep telling him to kill it before he shares. He listens as well as Bobbi.
OMG! My cats sound like my kids. LOL Nobody listens to Mom.
I’ve never done it, but I’ve been told the safest way to do it is to have two people, each approaching a dog from behind. They grab the dog’s back feet while a third person plies the breakstick if needed, then kind of wheelbarrow the dogs away from each other.
It’s not a pit this time, granny.
Hope that doesn’t shatter your world too much...
"...One of my Jack Russell Terriers bit me..."
Yupbut you still have a face.
